World's Largest Swimming Lesson
JOIN US for the World's Largest Swimming Lesson! Friday, JUNE 24th at noon!
Join the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board and Abbey’s Hope on June 24th in the pool! Thousands of kids and families around the world will be participating in this event to help raise awareness about the importance of swim lessons. Last year was a record-breaking event and we hope this year will be the same! Help us spread the word on the importance of learning to swim!

Check-in starts at noon & lesson beginning at 12:15 P.M.
North Commons Water Park—1701 Golden Valley Road, Minneapolis, MN 55411
This event is free and is a very basic 30-minute lesson that teaches about entering and exiting the water safely, breathing in the water, floating and kicking. All skill levels are welcome. However, if your child is under the age of 8, an adult must accompany the child in the water.
All participants in the lesson also receive free admission to enjoy the park for the rest of the day, plus a free ice cream treat generously donated from BLUE MOO Ice Cream!
