9th Annual Abbey's Hope Golf Tournament and Party

Golf Tourney 1200x1200 FB

A great day for a great cause. Thank you to all who supported Abbey's Hope.

On Monday, September 12th, we hosted one of our most successful Abbey's Hope golf tournaments to date. This year we raised over $150,000 towards our pool & water safety efforts! The 9th Annual Abbey's Hope Golf Tournament and Party was a huge success and we couldn't have done it without the support of our event sponsors, friends and family!

Huge shout-out to Braemar Golf Course for being great hosts and thanks to our golf tournament & party sponsors : Bridgewater Bank, Key Cadillac & Merrill Corporation.

Thanks to Jake's, Able Brewing, Liquor Boy, Punch Investments and Hammermade for fun contests and events on several of the holes & in the party tent.
A special thank you to KARE 11's Belinda Jensen not only for great weather, but also helping emcee a great party. Rich Larson did an amazing job with the entertainment for the evening.  Also, thanks to Bunny's, Jake's City Grille, Jax Cafe, Tuttle's, Tin Fish, McCoy's Public House, Red Cow, Lucky's 13, Rojo Mexican Grill, Tiger Sushi, Starbucks and Jennings Liquor who served some scrumptious dishes & beverages!
Finally, thanks to all the volunteers, friends and families that joined us! Each year, you answer the call to support our organization without hesitation and each year the event is more and more successful because of you! This year is no exception.
For those of you who were unable to attend our event, please consider supporting our year-round efforts.
Through your generosity each year we've been able to accomplish so much including supporting swim lessons for children at the YMCAs, creating and airing powerful PSAs and developing educational materials about pool drain safety and active supervision that are distributed nationwide.  With your support we have some big things happening for 2017... stay tuned! You all help make Abbey's hope a reality! Thank you!

The Dragonfly Story

Excerpted from the eulogy at Abbey Taylor's Celebration of Life Service

Below the surface of a quiet pond lived a colony of water bugs. They were happy, living far from the sun. But they noticed that occasionally, a member of their colony would climb up a lily stalk and disappear from sight, never to return. Where do you suppose she went? wondered a water bug.
